Dry Paneer Bhurji

Paneer(Indian cottage cheese) has its own fan followers.Its a good source of protein and calcium.It helps to burn fat. Paneer bhurji is a dry vegetarian side dish .It can be served with Roti,Paratha,It can be sandwiched between breads.You can also make chapati rolls with this as stuffing.It tastes similar to an egg bhurji. Its an awesome dish and quick to make.Kids will surely love this dish.This dish is made with crumbled/grated paneer sauteed with onion, tomatoes and red chilli powder.

Serves : 2 persons


Paneer – 150 g (crumbled into small pieces)
Onion – 1 (medium sized finely chopped)
Tomato – 1 (medium size finely chopped)
Red chilli powder – 1 tsp
Turmeric powder – 1/4 tsp
Cumin seeds – 1/4 tsp
Salt to taste
Oil – 1 tbsp
Curry leaves – 1 tbsp (finely chopped )
Coriander leaves – 1 tbsp (finely chopped)


1.To a pan ,add oil when the oil get hot.add cumin seeds.Add onions and Saute them.
2.When the onion turns golden.Add the chopped tomatoes and cook them well.Then add salt.
3.Add chopped coriander leaves and curry leaves.Saute them.Then add Turmeric powder and Red chilli powder.Mix them well.
4.Add crumbled paneer and mix them well with the masala. Dry paneer bhurji is ready.You can have it is a side dish for breakfast/dinner and even for lunch.Make this recipe and enjoy the taste of protein rich paneer.
