Mushroom Capsicum Pepper fry

 
A spicy stir fry made with mushroom and capsicum enriched in taste with pepper and fennel powder that can be had with rice and roti. They are full of proteins,vitamins and minerals.Mushrooms help in weight loss and increase the strength of your immune system.Yesterday I  bought a packet of  Fresh local farm mushrooms so decided to make this stir fry for lunch.

Preparation time : 15 mins
Cooking time : 20 mins
Serves : 2 persons

INGREDIENTS REQUIRED

 
Mushroom – 250 gm (sliced)
Capsicum – 1 (sliced length wise)
Onion -1 (finely sliced)
Spring onions  green part- 2 tbsp (This is optional)
Pepper powder – 1 tsp
Cumin powder – 1/2 tsp
Fennel powder – 1/2 tsp
Garam masala – 1/4 tsp
Cumin seeds – 1/4 tsp
Fennel seeds – 1/4 tsp
Oil  – 2 tbsp
Salt to taste
 

METHOD

1.To a pan add oil ,Once the oil gets hot add Cumin seeds and Fennel seeds.
2.Add sliced Onions and saute them in the oil till it gets light golden.Add the sliced mushroom.
3.Mushroom takes only little time to cook and it leaves water.close it with a lid and cook mushrooms.Add salt to your taste.Add Capsicum now so that you can get it crunchy .Cook in low to medium flame.
4.Then add spring onions and saute them.Add all the masala powders mentioned above and mix them well.So the mushroom and capsicum gets coated with the masalas.Serve it by garnishing it with some spring onions with Roti or Rice.
