Cabbage Peas Stir fry / Muttaikose Pattani Poriyal is a simple south indian style recipe made with Cabbage and Green peas.Cabbage and peas are good for your brain.Cabbage is an abundant source of vitamin C and is a good remedy for constipation and digestion.This stir fry goes well with any kuzhambu varieties and Rice.I used Frozen peas.You can use Fresh green peas or Frozen ones.

Cooking Time : 15 mins
Serves : 3 Persons
Cabbage – 400 g (finely chopped)
Fresh Green Peas – 1 cup
Grated coconut – 1/3 cup
Green Chilli – 3
Cumin Seeds – 1/4 tsp
Curry leaves – a sprig
Onion – 1 (finely sliced)
Oil – 2 tbsp
Salt to taste
1.To a mixie jar add grated coconut,Cumin seeds and green chilli and grind it to a coarse paste without adding water.
2.To a pan add oil.Add Onion to it and Saute them till they turn light golden.
3.Add curry leaves ,Green peas to them and saute them well.Add required amount of salt and mix them well.
4.Add Chopped cabbage and saute them till they gets cooked.It will cook in the oil itself .It is not necessary to add any water to it.Once the cabbage gets cooked add the grinded coconut and mix well.Stir fry for few minutes.Put off the flame.Serve it with Rice and any Kuzhambu.I love this poriyal/stir fry with Sambar.
