Raw Banana Fry /Vazhakkai fry

Raw Banana fry -It is a spicy,crispy outside soft inside fry made with unripe banana.Amma usually makes this fry along with Lemon Rice,Curd rice.It also accompanies well with Rice and any Kuzhambu varieties or Sambar or Dal.Here is the recipe of Raw Banana Fry.

Preparation Time : 10 mins
Cooking Time : 20 mins
Serves : 3 Persons

INGREDIENTS REQUIRED

Raw Banana – 6
Coconut oil – for frying
Red chilli powder – 2 tsp
Sambar powder – 1 tsp
Turmeric powder – 1/2 tsp
Salt to taste

METHOD

1.Peel the skin of banana cut the ends and chop them into small cubes.Add them to a bowl of water to prevent it from blackening.Keep all the ingredients ready.
2.To a pan add about 1 tbsp of oil.Then add the chopped banana cubes to it and fry them well in oil for about 5 minutes.
3.Add Turmeric powder,Red chilli powder,Sambar powder,Salt to it.Combine them well with the banana.Add oil little by little when they seems dried and fry them till they are nicely cooked.
Serve it with Rice and Sambar or Rice and Dal,Curd Rice,Lemon Rice
