Mor Kuzhambu is often prepared curry recipe at my home for lunch.It is made with Coconut,cumin seeds,shallots paste It is simple yet flavorful curry for Rice.It tastes well with spicy side dish.I love it with brinjal fry.I made this mor kuzhambu with Sambar cucumber/Yellow cucumber.Also check recipe of Vellarikkai Pachadi.Today lets see how to make Vellarikkai Mor Kuzhambu.

Serves : 3 persons
Vellarikka – 1 (450 g)
Turmeric powder – 1/4 tsp
Green chilli – 3
Thick Curd – 1 and 1/2 cup(300 g)
Salt to taste
Grated Coconut – 1/2 cup
Shallots/Small onions – 5
Cumin seeds – 1/2 tsp
Coconut – 1 tbsp
Mustard seeds – 1/4 tsp
Fenugreek seeds – 1/4 tsp
Dried Red chilli long – 3
Curry leaves – a sprig
1.Peel cucumber skin,deseed them and chop into cubes.Keep all the ingredients ready.Blend grated coconut,cumin seeds,shallots into a fine smooth paste by adding water.
2.Cook cucumber cubes along with green chilli,salt,turmeric powder and water.
3.When the cucumber is cooked add the coconut paste to it and mix well.Let it come to boil.Whisk curd nicely and add it.Stir it nicely and Put off the flame.
4.Add coconut oil to a tadka pan add ingredients for tempering.Add this tempering to the curry.Serve it with Rice.
