பஜ்ஜி மிளகாய் சாதம் – Bajji chilli Rice

Everyone would have tasted Bajji made with chillies. These long pale green chillies are usually used to make bajjis. Why not make a variety rice with it.You can pack it for Lunch box.Here is the recipe for it.
Preparation Time: 5 mins
Cooking Time : 20 mins
Serves : 2 Persons

INGREDIENTS REQUIRED

Cooked rice – 2 cups
Bajji chilli – 5 nos
Gingelly Oil – 1 tbsp
Mustard seeds – 1/2 tsp
Urad dal – 1 tsp
Curry leaves – 2 sprigs
Turmeric powder – 1/4 tsp
Salt to taste

For Roasting and Grinding

Grated coconut – 1/3 cup
Dried Red chilli – 5
Channa dal – 1/4 cup
Ground nut – 1/3 cup

METHOD

1.Wash bajji chilli .Cut them lengthwise and remove the seeds.Chop them into small pieces.
2.Heat 2 tsp of oil in a pan and Roast channa dal,Groundnut,Dried Red chilli and Grated coconut to golden.
3.Add roasted ingredients to grinding jar and grind them.
4.Heat 1 tbsp of oil in a pan.Add mustard seeds.Let them splutter.Add urad dal,Curry leaves and chopped bajji chilli.
5.Saute them well in oil.Add turmeric powder,Salt to taste and ground groundnut coconut masala. Mix the ground masala well with the chilli. 
6.Then add cooked rice to it and Mix well.
Serve it hot with Appalam or Potato Fry.
