Mutton Keema vada / Kothu Kari vadai

Keema vada / Kothu karai vadai is one of my favorite snack.It is so simple to make and it tastes yummy.Everyone will definitely love it.This recipe is my dad’s.Mom too follows the same and they used to make this vadas for us on sundays for lunch or as eve snack.I love them.Try this vada following this simple recipe.

Cooking time :20 mins
Serves : 4 Persons

INGREDIENTS REQUIRED

Minced meat/Mutton Keema – 250 g
Onion – 1 (finely chopped)
Green chilli – 3
Ginger – 2 inch piece
Garlic – 5 Pods
Coriander leaves – a handful
Curry leaves – a handful
Salt to taste
Turmeric powder – 1/2 tsp
Red chilli powder – 1 tsp
Fennel seeds – 1 tsp
Roasted Bengal gram – 1/2 cup

METHOD

1.To a grinding jar add roasted bengal gram and grind them into a fine powder.Finely chop onion,ginger,garlic,curry leaves,coriander leaves.Clean minced meat and add them to a mixing bowl.
2.To the mixing bowl add all the chopped ingredients,required amount of salt,red chilli powder,turmeric powder,fennel seeds,ground roasted bengal gram powder.
3.Mix all the ingredients well.Heat oil in a pan for frying.Take a small amount of the mixture.Make small ball then flatten them to vada shape.Drop the vadas into the hot oil and fry them in medium flame till they turn golden brown.When the oil stops to bubble remove them from the oil.
Serve them hot with Ketchup or Hot Chilli sauce.You can also have it just like that without any dip.Great snack for your tea time.
