Baby Potato Masala Roast -சின்ன உருளைக்கிழங்கு மசாலா வறுவல்

I  Love the way the baby Potatoes look Isnt they so cute ?They also tastes lovely.It always tempts me to get it and make this recipe.Potatoes are loved by people of all ages.This Recipe has Baby potatoes sauteed with onions,tomato and masala powders.
This recipe goes well with Rice and Sambar,dal or Rasam. It also tastes well as a side dish for Chapati.

Now lets get into this easy Baby Potato masala Roast.

Cooking Time : 10 mins
Serves : 3

INGREDIENTS REQUIRED

Baby Potatoes – 15
Onion – 1 big sized(finely chopped)
Tomato – 1 small sized(finely chopped)
Green chilli – 1 (slitted)
Curry leaves – 1 sprig
Coriander leaves – a few
Ginger garlic paste – 1 tsp
Turmeric powder – 1/2 tsp
Red chilli powder – 1 and 1/2 tsp
Coriander powder – 1 tsp
Cumin powder – 1/2 tsp
Pepper powder – 1/2 tsp
Salt to taste
Oil – 3 tsp

METHOD

1.Rinse baby potatoes and pressure cook them with sufficient amount of water for 2 whistles. Once the pressure gets released, drain the water.Let them cool down then peel the skin of the potatoes.Cut them into halves if the potatoes are big.Prick them with fork so that the masalas can get into it well.Keep them aside.Heat oil in a kadai. Add finely chopped onion.Saute them till they get lightly golden.add curry leaves,coriander leaves,and green chillies. Add ginger garlic paste.Saute till the raw smell goes.Add chopped tomatoes.
2.Cook till the tomatoes get mushy.Add Red chilli powder,coriander powder,turmeric powder,cumin powder,pepper powder and salt to taste.Mix them all well together.add boiled baby potatoes.

3.Mix the potatoes well with the masalas. Close the kadai with a lid for few minutes till the potatoes are roasted well with the masalas.
Serve hot with Rice or chapati.
