Yam Tamarind chutney – கருணைக்கிழங்கு புளி சட்னி(Pidikarunai puli chutney)

It goes well with all Kuzhambu varieties. This dish is a South Indian style preparation in which mashed yam is cooked with fried small onions and tamarind juice.Tamarind removes the itchiness of the yam and gives a nice tangy taste to the dish.Mom used to make this recipe often with Pidi karunai(yam) and I love it.Lets see how to make it.
