Today’s recipe is Karal Porichathu. It is a kerala style liver fry. I have already posted recipes with liver – liver pepper fry, liver gravy, chicken liver with potato. This liver fry is so flavorful and tastes yummy. It goes well with Rice, Roti. I used coconut oil for the authentic kerala taste.

METHOD

2. Clean the liver and cut into cubes. Wash them well in water. Now marinate the liver with the ground paste and add it to the pressure cooker along with 1/2 cup of water. Pressure cook until it gets tender. If there is any water left reduce it completely. You can also cook it in a pot or pan similarily instead of a pressure cooker.

3.Heat coconut oil in a pan. Add curry leaves to it. Then add the cooked liver into it and allow it to cook until the masala gets dry. Then switch off the flame.

Serve hot.
