Keema(Minced meat) masala / Kothu Kari masala

Keema masala is an excellent  side dish for Chapati,Roti,Paratha,Naan.Everyone at my home loves dishes made with minced meat(keema) especially I love keema vadas.Keema vadas are made as a tea time snack or for lunch by my Mom or dad on Sundays.They taste awesome.I will post the recipes of them soon and this keema masala is made occasionally for dinner at my home.Bored of Veg side dishes Try this  simple and tasty Non Veg Recipe for your dinner tomorrow.Here is how I made it.

Preparation Time : 10 mins

Cooking Time : 15 mins
Serves : 2 – 3 Persons


Minced meat / Kheema – 250g

Onion -2 (finely chopped)
Tomato – 1 (finely chopped)
Green chillies – 2
Mint leaves – a few
Coriander leaves – a few
Salt – to taste
Cardamon – 3
Cloves – 3
Cinnamon stick – 1 (1 ” piece)
Bay leave – 1
Turmeric powder – 1/4 tsp
Red chilli powder – 1 and 1/2 tsp
Kashmiri Red chilli powder – 1/2 tsp
Ginger garlic paste – 1 tsp
Oil – 1 tbsp


1.Heat oil in a pan.Add Cardamon,Cinnamon,Cloves and Bay leaves to it.Let them splutter.Then add finely chopped onions.
2.Saute the onions till they turn golden.Then add ginger garlic paste.Saute till the raw smell goes of ginger garlic goes.Then add minced meat.

3.Mix the minced  meat well with onions.Then add chopped tomatoes,Green chillies,a few coriander and mint leaves ,Turmeric powder.Mix them all together.

4.Add Red chilli powder,Kashmiri Red chilli powder,required amount of salt and mix together.Add little water for the minced meat to get cook and mix well with the masala.Close the pan with lid and cook till the meat gets cooked.Stir them in between.Minced meat will take only few minutes to cook.Finally Garnish with coriander leaves.

Serve it with Roti,Chapati,Naan…
