
Masala oats is a healthy and easy recipe to prepare. This recipe would be really helpful for working women and bachelors also for newbies. It is a great dish for breakfast as well as for dinner. You can have it plain or you can also serve it with pickle or pappad. It is so quick to make and time-saving recipe. To enhance the taste of the recipe, I have used Maggi chicken stock cube. If You want the vegetarian version, replace it with a veg stock cube.

INGREDIENTS REQUIRED
Onion – 1
Ginger garlic paste – 1 tsp
Tomato – 1
Turmeric powder – 1/2 tsp
Red chilli powder – 1/2 tsp
Coriander powder – 1 tsp
Chicken stock cube – 1
Curry leaves – 2 sprigs
Green chilli – 1 or 2
Oats – 1 cup
Water – 3 cup
METHOD
1.Heat oil in a pan. Add sliced onions. saute them until they turn golden. Add ginger-garlic paste. Saute until the raw smell of it goes off. Then add chopped tomatoes. Saute them till the tomatoes get mushy.

2. Add the spice powders, stock cube and mix well. Then add curry leaves, slit green chillies. Add the Oats. Mix it well with the masala and add water. Allow it to cook. It will take around 3 to 4 minutes to cook. I have added 3 cups of water. The consistency will be like gravy and not dry as the consistency of sambar Sadam.

Serve hot immediately.
