I have only a few sweet recipes posted in my blog, as I am not a sweet tooth person. I love any snack that is spicy. So I have only a few favourites in the sweet category and this is one of it. This pal kozhukattai is made with milk and rice flour. Here I have used cow’s milk and for sweetness, I used brown sugar you can use white sugar instead. There is also another recipe where this dish is made with coconut milk. Will try to make a post of it later. This dish can be a good evening snack and it is also prepared during festive times. I usually prepare it when there is leftover dough after making Idiyappam.
Let’s see how to make it.
Preparation Time: 20 mins
Cooking Time: 25 mins
Serves: 2-3
INGREDIENTS REQUIRED
Idiyappam flour – 1 cup
Water – 1 cup
Salt – 1/2 tsp
Milk – 4 cup
Cardamom – 2
Brown sugar – 1/3 cup
METHOD
1.Take flour in a mixing bowl. Heat water in a pan. To it add salt and allow it to boil. Add the hot water little by little and mix the flour with a ladle or spoon. Then knead it well and make small balls with it. Keep some dough for later.

2. Heat milk in a pan. Crush the cardamom and add it to the milk. Allow it to boil. When it boils, add the sugar to it. Mix well. Then add the balls to it. Don’t disturb it for about 10 mins. Mix the saved dough with water and add it. It helps to thicken. After 5 mins switch off the flame.

Serve hot.
