Veg Maggi masala

This recipe is specially for newbies and bachelors.

Do you remember the first day when you tasted maggi.I still remember those days.When I was in my primary school that was the first time I tasted it.At home we don’t buy them at that time.The ads always attracted me a lot.I always wanted to eat those non sticky noodles.One day at school we asked to line up and go to ground.There was a surprise for me a truck was standing there and it was a maggi truck.It was a part of a product promotion.They distributed maggi packets to all of us.I was so happy to see maggi packets in my hand.However My mom didn’t cook it for me. So I ate the full packet of maggi uncooked and after that finally I was licking the masala given with it.The uncooked maggi tasted like chakli or murukku and I loved it.Even now when cooking maggi noodles I used to break down some uncooked noodles and eat them.My daughter also loves to eat so.

Then I cooked my first maggi when I was at my 8th std.It didn’t come out well . My mom too don’t cook it for us.So if we need it we have to cook ourself. Then only in my college days I tried it again.This time it was tasty as I tried it with the recipe my sis got from our neighbour. Even my mom started to love the taste and she too cook as once a while.

I used to buy noodles once a while as they are so simple to cook and also we love the taste.

Preparation Time : 15 mins

Cooking Time : 15 mins

Serves : 2

INGREDIENTS REQUIRED

Oil – 1 tbsp

Onion – 1(sliced)

Tomato – 1(chopped)

Salt to taste

Ginger garlic paste – 1/2 tsp

Turmeric powder – 1/4 tsp

Red chilli powder – 1/2 tsp

Coriander powder – 1/2 tsp

Mixed veggies – 1 Cup(I have used chopped carrot and beans)You can use potatoes, green peas also.

Maggi noodles – 2 packets (I used maggi curry masala )

Curry leaves – a few

Water – 600 ml

METHOD

1.Heat oil in a pan.Saute onions in it to light golden.Then add the chopped tomatoes, little salt and cook it until the tomatoes get mushy.

2.Add ginger garlic paste and saute until the raw smell goes off.Then add the cut veggies, red chilli powder, turmeric powder and corianderpowder.Mix well.Cover and cook for few minutes in low flame.

3.Add the maggi noodles, taste maker masala, few curry leaves and water required.Now place the flame in medium and cook .Mix well.Allow it to cook until the noodles are half cooked.Then cover and cook for about 5 minutes until the water is reduced and the noodles are good well.

Serve hot.
