Mutton soup – Mutton bone soup – Soup with Mutton bones

This soup I made with some Mutton bones. It’s a simple recipe and it is so healthy. It is so good for a cold. As I was having a cold I prepared this, it was so soothing to the throat. You can also feed it for babies and kids as a clear soup.

Let’s see how to make it.

Preparation Time: 10 mins

Cooking Time: 45 mins

Serves : 3 to 4

INGREDIENTS REQUIRED

oil – 1.5 tbsp

cinnamon – 1 piece

cloves – 4

Ginger garlic paste – 1.5 tbsp

Small onions/shallots – a handful (around 15 nos)

Mutton – 1/2 kg

peppercorns – 1 tbsp

cumin seeds – 1 tsp

coriander leaves – a few

mint leaves – a few

water as required

salt as required

METHOD

Clean and wash the mutton pieces. In a pressure cooker heat oil, when the oil is hot, add cinnamon, cloves . Let them splutter. Then add ginger garlic paste. Saute until the raw smell leaves. Add shallots to it. Saute for 2 minutes. Then add the mutton pieces, salt, crush pepper and cumin with mortar and pestle and add them. Add coriander leaves, mint leaves, and water. I used around 1 litre of water. Now cover and cook until the mutton gets cooked. Then switch off the flame. When the pressure is completely released open the lid. Check for salt and add as required. Add water as required and Heat it up, if water is added.

Serve hot.
